my digital body - a girltalk poem

if i digitized my body i could
open it in my best software
move individual hair follicles
from where i don't want them
to where i do

i could sculpt
a rita hayworth hairline

a butch king,
i could move the curls on my ass
to my chin and boast a bushy beard

i could move the stiff black ones
from my chin
and make my brows even more dramatic

or, finally
sweep up all the follicles--
fierce and healthy
dark and thick
from my arms, legs, belly, chin
temples, feet, nape and back
--concentrate them, shape them
wear a hair bikini year-round
